Many trees and shrubs found in the garden provided scientists with the chemical frameworks to develop modern synthetic drugs prescribed by your GP today. This walk will focus on those plants that have provided such an important part in developing modern drugs for maintaining health and a number of plants currently being researched that will provide medicines in the future.  Discover which of these trees and shrubs have been traditionally used in Western herbal medicine for over two thousand years and included in the British Herbal Pharmacopoeia. The walk will be facilitated by medical herbalists Frances Watkins and Jill Mills.

Spaces are limited so do book early and see Reveley in its autumnal splendour with the changing leaf colour, fruits and berries providing winter fodder for the local wildlife. With the booking fee, tickets are £10 each and include a guided walk around Reveley gardens, a cup of tea and a piece of home-made cake. We will walk whatever the weather and look forward to meeting you on 17 September 2017 at 2 pm.
