The Fauvists were an avant-garde movement in the early 20th Century who celebrated intensity of colour and non- realistic colour in their art making to enhance the ‘mood’ or emotional impact of their subject matter. Although short lived, the legacy of the fauvist movement had a huge impact on the European art scene (Expressionists) and later American pop culture (think Warhol) and secured their place as important players in modern art history.
In this class you will be introduced to the fauvist style of working and with guided support, produce your own colourful work of art inspired by the grounds and gardens of Reveley Lodge.
Special measures will be in place to keep you safe. This class is suitable for age 19+. No experience is required and all materials are provided. Welcome coffee/tea and biscuits are included.
You will be contacted three days before the course starts with final details. Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to two weeks before the start date.
