Kate Rebecca Leach is an artist and illustrator based in Hertfordshire. Her original artwork and high quality Giclée prints feature creative watercolour techniques and embellished metallic details. Kate founded her business, Essoldo Design, in August 2020 and has sold pieces to over 30 countries across the globe and has successfully licensed her work in the UK, Europe and the USA. Her First book, Creative Abstract Watercolor and second, Creative Abstract Mixed Media are out now.

In this workshop you’ll learn how to use organic watercolour shapes to form decorative landscape designs inspired by crisp winter mornings in cool and frosty colour palettes (or your own favourite colours if you prefer!). You’ll learn various watercolour techniques and decorative ideas to help you create your very own, unique piece that combines watercolour, inks details, and accents of metallics. You’ll use inspiration from nature and Kate’s own portfolio of abstract designs and patterns.

All materials will be provided but please feel free to bring your own favourite materials or brushes if you wish. This class is suitable for total beginners through to experienced artists.

We are delighted to offer guided house tours of Reveley Lodge. You can enjoy this unique property complete with its furniture and fittings and the stories to go with it. For the early part of its life, Reveley Lodge has acted as a ‘Gentleman’s Cottage’ – a small country house easily reached at the weekend from the owner’s principal home in London – and latterly as the home of a Canadian artist, Albert Chewett, whose wife Eila bequeathed the house and garden to Bushey Museum.
