Although our planned VE Day celebration has had to be cancelled, we decided we should still mark the occasion with our Reveley at War display. It tells the story of how World War II impacted the lives of the owners of Reveley Lodge, Albert and Eila Chewett, using their diaries and letters.

The information boards are displayed on the terrace and can be viewed in the open air whilst maintaining social distancing. For those unable to visit the grounds as part of their exercise routine, they can be viewed in PDF format below.

Our thanks go to Jane West, Councillor for Bushey North, who kindly donated funds from her locality budget for the boards, which were designed by Nick Overhead with text by Adele Taylor and local photographs courtesy of Bushey Museum.
