Halloween Fun!
Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th October morning and afternoon sessions
Our popular Halloween event returns for children and adults. Come dressed up and join us for spooky fun at Reveley Lodge. You’ll be welcomed by giant spiders as you enter. Take part in the garden games, follow the Halloween trail and win a prize if you find one of our decorated rocks. There will be creepy arts and crafts and glitter tattoos* and spooky story time. Hidden around the grounds will be ghastly, gruesome and ghostly surprises including flying witches, Dracula’s graveyard, the mummy, the ogre in a barrel and the Bat Cave!

Autumn Botanical Watercolour & Collage Workshop with Kate Leach
Friday 13th November 10:30 – 15:00
In this workshop you’ll learn how to use organic watercolour shapes to form decorative botanical floral collage designs inspired by Autumn. You’ll learn various watercolour and collage techniques and decorative ideas to help you create your very own, unique piece that combines watercolours, ink details, and accents of metallics. You’ll use inspiration from nature and Kate’s own portfolio of floral designs and patterns.
All materials will be provided but please feel free to bring your own favourite materials or brushes if you wish. This class is suitable for total beginners through to experienced artists.

Hamlet
Thursday 19th to Saturday 21st November
Hamlet is Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy, but performed as you’ve never seen it before. The production combines live theatre and Shakespeare’s original text with elements of short film, and explores the loss of youth, its innocence and freedom through the lens of memory. Taking inspiration from across the 20th century, this production anchors Shakespeare’s explorations of grief and remembrance.
The Oxford Rep Company returns to Reveley Lodge following sold out performances of three productions that have been fantastically received by audiences ‘We have seen each of the Oxford Rep productions in the last year and thoroughly enjoyed each one’ said one theatre goer. This production of 2 hours including an interval will take place under the proscenium arch in the Billiard Room which is a fitting location for this famous drama.

Creative Sketchbook amd Shopping Event with Kate Leach
Friday 27th November 10:00 – 15:00
Fancy spending some time with a bunch of like-minded creative people? Join Kate Rebecca Leach of Essoldo Design for a day of sketch-booking and festive shopping!
Creative Sketch-Booking Session: Feel free to bring your own favourite sketchbook or any art projects you are currently working on. This is an informal, creative day rather than a structured class. You’ll spend time chatting, sharing inspiration, and making art alongside like-minded people. A range of materials will be provided and Kate will be on hand throughout the day to share creative guidance, design inspiration, tips, and tricks.
Festive Pop-Up & Studio Sale: If you are looking to kickstart your Christmas shopping, Kate’s pop-up shop will feature discounted and exclusive items including stationery and gifts, original artwork and fabrics.
No ticker is required to shop. Just drop in, browse the studio sale, and look around even if you don’t intend to sit down and paint.

Christmas guided house tour
Wednesday 2nd December 14:00 – 16:00
We are delighted to offer guided house tours of Reveley Lodge. You can enjoy this unique property complete with its furniture and fittings and the stories to go with it. For the early part of its life, Reveley Lodge has acted as a ‘Gentleman’s Cottage’ – a small country house easily reached at the weekend from the owner’s principal home in London – and latterly as the home of a Canadian artist, Albert Chewett, whose wife Eila bequeathed the house and garden to Bushey Museum.

Festive Florals Collage and Watercolour Workshop with Kate Leach
Friday 11th December 10:30 – 15:00
In this workshop you’ll learn a range of wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry watercolour techniques, with collage and mixed media elements, to help you create your very own, unique piece of art based on festive floral and botanical themes. You’ll learn how to create a bespoke colour palette and use your own ideas, as well as Kate’s portfolio of designs and patterns, to help inspire you.
All materials will be provided but please feel free to bring your own favourite materials or brushes if you wish. This class is suitable for total beginners through to experienced artists.
